While they're both updates for the server the Updates section will show the updates that are revealed on the Violet website front page and the Change Log section contains anything, big or small, that is added but not presented as a larger update. With today’s server save, there has been a full map clean, as well as a wave of updates, improvements, adjustments and alterations.
Firstly there have been some adjustments to monster AI, pathing, targeting, as well as pathing in general and in addition, further improvements to the map click reliability for those using Nostlather OTClient.
(If anyone notices any irregular behaviour or issues with these changes, please contact me asap)

There have been several changes around the world. A small hostile elf camp has sprung up outside Carlin, the cyclops camp south of Thais has expanded, large wolves have built a den outside Ab’Dendriel, dwarves have invaded Cormaya and the dead have begun to rise in the Darashian deeper catacombs. A secret passage to the outskirts of Mintwallin and a way into the dragon lord lair near the Pits of Inferno have also been discovered.

Several existing NPCs in game will now also have some new missions to be completed for special rewards and unlocking new unique and custom outfits. A hunters logbook can also be purchased form these NPCs which can be used to track certain monster kills.
A Football and Ice Hocky arena have also been built in Thais. This stadium ma be used in future events, but anyone is free to play.

Dec 01 22 Winter Update 2022
More settlers have arrived on Rookgaard!
Some new settlers have setup Camp South west of the Temple. Several new houses, including a shop, have been built there. One of the campers has also brought their dog!

Millino and Claude have moved in. Millino can be found at the Settlement Camp on Rookgaard and is interested in buying any helmets you have, including the ones Obi doesn't want to buy! Claud has set up shop next to the banker Paulie and is selling furniture and decorations for your house.

Some additional secrets and mysteries to explore and discover have also been added around Rookgaard!

There have also been some additions to the Tibia mainland. The dwarves of Kazordoon with their pet Rotworms have been busy digging and exploring. The mines have drastically expanded to the north, connecting up with the Sewers of Carlin.

The dwarves have also accidentally discovered an ancient dragon lair and have been careful not to disturb them.

The Dragons occupying The Big Old One have also expanded their territory. Explorers beware!

Strange activity has also been detected around the Plains of Havoc. Time will tell if this activity will cause problems for the inhabitants of the Tibia mainland... The giant spider population also seems to have increased with this activity.

Server updates October 30 from 5AM UTC Server Save
Hello All,
We would like to apologise for the recent service interruptions resulting in some data rollbacks the last few days.
All accounts have been granted an additional 5 days of premium time.
We are treating these occurrences as high priority and doing everything we can to investigate the issue to ensure they are resolved and will not continue in the future.
I'd also like to thank everyone for their understanding and patience and want to ensure everyone that we will always be here and handling these incidents with utmost urgency.
We will continue thorough investigation and post further information as it becomes available.

Paulie has moved in under Seymour's academy in the trading room. He will be able to change gold coins for you! He has also brought some depot containers. However, mailing to Rookgaard is still not possible.

  • Pits of Inferno Dragon Lords Dungeon is now accessible
  • Added football and hockey field in Thais games room.
  • Demon armor and legs now give a small fire resistance boost.
  • Winged helmet now gives a speed boost
  • Adjusted Black Knight spawn time in the Black Knight Villa
  • Adjusted Double Demon spawn in Edron and Demon Spawn times in Mintwalling, both areas have roughly the same spawn timers for demons.
  • Updated several NPCs to now offer some hunting/collection "task" quests to unlock various new outfits. These NPCs also now sell "hunters logbook" which can be used to keep track of various hunting task quests and record special monster kills.
  • Reworks for monster AI regarding targeting and pathing. These reworks should address some targeting issues where monsters would run past players they shouldn't.
  • fixed a bug with players summons pathing ai
  • Fixed 7.4 ranged weapons to be 7 sqm uniformly. (verified by video evidence from 7.4)
  • Fixed a couple quests rewarding items with charges that didn't have their "brand new" amount of charges remaining
  • Fixes to kill statistics recording PvP kills twice.
  • Special items will now need to be used twice to consume to avoid accidental usage for items like premium scroll and points

  • Increased demon spawn in Mintwallin (Sorry - Edron and Mintwallin 1x and 2x spawns are the same for balance between hunting spots)

  • Fixed scarab coin digging action to be like real tibia (special tiles that are not current on cooldown will result in a scarab or coin 100% of the time, it will never "poff" on special tiles unless they're on cooldown. Cooldown is 66 minutes)
  • Increased coconut drop rate from Demons considerably (Evidence from cams indicates they should be dropped about atleast 25% of the time)
  • Reworked field items for 7.4. Player or monster created fields ontop of fields that do not expire (Such as all the fire fields in demon hell) do NOT get replaced, instead of the monster/player created feilds that slowly expire spawn ontop of the fields that never expire. Only Destroy field should remove these field items.

  • Fixed rare bug with unjust kill sometimes giving 2 frags to players who did dmg from the player AND summons for last hit.

  • Fixed haste and strong haste duration (43 and 63 seconds up from 40 and 60)
  • Players can now urinate into empty fluid containers (old tibia feature)

  • Banned (permanently) accounts will no longer show up on Highscores pages.

  • Fixed not being able to see players standing in house doors. However, looking at doors will still look at the item in a doorway if there is an item unless it is a house door.
  • Fixed a bug where the death message on the corpse and website would show all monsters not just damage dealers from the last 60 seconds. (Eg if you almost die to a cyclops, but then die 5 hours later to a rat, it would say a rat and cyclops)
  • Properly fixed furniture kit for round table and Christmas trees
  • Fixed support spells like light, haste, and antidote from applying to creatures in a stack
  • Fixed a bug where killing guild members wouldn't count as unjustified. (should only be justified as per normal skull system or in a party)

  • Fixed power ring not actually giving fist skill bonus
  • Fixed monster AI pathing when retargeting would run past players diagonally to get to targets behind them when the player should force retargeting because of the body blocking.
  • Fixed a bug the above fix introduced where fleeing monsters could sometimes step through creatures blocking their path.

  • OTC updates have been pushed. The Auto-reconnect option is disabled for the Violet server. Classic animations have also been added so character walking animations will now look more like the original client walking style.

  • Fixed house rent payment warnings not resetting on payment correctly.
  • Implemented original feature for when players lose their Premium Account status that will reset their home town and send them back to Thais.
  • Fixed a bug where characters that X log with a target selected will never stop attacking. XLogged characters will now drop their selected target 60 seconds after disconnecting, just like in real tibia.
  • Fixed a bug where players that get disconnected do not block respawn (In rare cases, being disconnected momentarily could have a chase where monsters respawn while the player is on screen, because "technically" they can not see it happening, but should still be blocked by the players presence)
  • Fixed a bug where poison/energy/fire field runes should be shot onto blocking tiles (like a pot or a trough) even though the field cannot be placed there. Not correctly returns "There is not enough room" message and no longer consumes rune charge.

  • Adjustments to server mechanics so NPCs and players face the correct direction in relation to the player or when the player goes through teleporters.

  • Fixed a bug where it was possible to swap stackable items into a container that was full if items of the same type were in the container
  • Fixed not being able to move items underneath invisible monsters.

  • Mapping adjustments to fix incorrect swamp borders in various locations. Mostly around Venore swamp
  • Fixed a bug with 2 doors side by side where the 2nd door on the right wouldn't push the player out of the doorway when it was closed.
  • Fixed a bug where Zoltan was checking for level instead of magic level to sell spells.
  • Fixed special hidden tiles in Ankrahmun desert not being able to dig up scarab coins. These unique tiles should now be working as intended again.
  • Fixed various missing walls
  • Fixed not being able to use destroy field on the smallest fire field fire
  • Fixed magic shield from applying to all players in a stack instead of the caster.
  • Incorrectly using summon creature will now say creature does not exist instead of not possible.
  • Regular map refreshing has been resumed.

  • Implemented monster "training" mechanic from old tibia. Monsters will now advance their skills if they are attacking long enough. This applies to wild monsters AND player summons.
  • Fixed a bug with how fight mode was calculating shielding defense. Monsters and players that are not attacking are always considered to be in full defense. If a monster or a player is attacking, their battle stance for attack factors into their max damage (this was correct) and their shielding defense. In the case of shielding defense, if a player or monster was attacking, their shielding defense was calculated as being full attack. A Monster should always be attacking/defending in balanced attack mode. occasionally a player or monster was being calculated as being on full attack mode when calculating shielding defense. Attack mode calculation was being correctly calculated.

  • Fixes to Monster AI that would cause them to run over fields when they're panicking (monsters and summons will run over fields if they're attacked, but should not when panicking or fleeing)
  • Fixed Rooking level to be level 5 (previously occurring at 6)
  • Fireball runes should now be conjured with 3 charges.
  • LMM runes should not require any magic level to be used.
  • Magic wall runes should be conjured with 4 charges.
  • Envenom rune should be conjured with 3 charges
  • Animate dead rune should conjure with 2 charges.

  • Updated tile item limits - Tile item limits are 1000 items per tile and 100 items per house tile.
  • Fixed some logic with the login script that would reset players outfits back to the default outfit. Player outfit will now only reset back to default if the player has lost their premium AND they were using a premium outfit (Outfits purchased from the webshop and equipped with the !outfit command are NOT premium outfits and can be worn on free accounts as long as they have been unlocked)
  • Made optimisations for OTC. Should now be able to use items (opening backpacks, using a letter, etc) while running.
  • Fixed issue with quest/level doors not pushing items out of the way correctly if blocked. Now works as intended.
  • Fixed not being able to rope items up from the pitfall and holes that are found around port hope.
  • Server optimizations and fix for a rare race condition that would rarely cause the server to crash.

  • Fixed some of the doors for Houses in rook not showing the house info. (This was an RME issue not saving the door ID properly. Accordingly, any door rights might need to be readded, the guest list should be fine.)
